Parchment Paper

Parchment paper and bakery release paper are cellulose-based papers that are used in baking as a disposable non-stick surface. Both are also called bakery paper or baking paper. In some countries it is also known as butter paper. Some people confuse it with wax paper which has similar properties but it is not recommended for baking  use as it will smoke.
